Tandem Shaml
Tandem Shaml was designed in order to support cultural and artistic collaboration between European and Arabic cities. The programme was open for applications from Turkey as part of Europe region. In the pilot programme (2012-13), Izmir Culture, Arts and Design Society was partnered with B’chira Art Center from Tunusia, and in the second round of the programme (2014–2015) altKitap from Istanbul collaborated with Hassala Films from Cairo.
Tandem Shaml was run by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF), MitOst e.V., Al Mawred Al Thaqafy and Anadolu Kültür, and was supported by Robert Bosch Stiftung, Stichting DOEN and Mimeta.
