Anadolu Kültür is 20 Years Old!
Anadolu Kültür celebrates its 20th anniversary with the projects it has produced, the artists, cultural people and institutions it has supported and collaborated with so far; it continues to produce, share and cooperate!
Anadolu Kültür, which has developed and implemented numerous projects and events, training and grant support programs by focusing on cultural dialogue and cooperation, now brings together all these works in a digital publication within the framework of its 20th anniversary, creating a comprehensive inventory. The series of talks titled “20 Years of Sharing Culture and Art: Anadolu Kültür Talks”, produced in line with this inventory and in accordance with the main working areas of the institution, brings together important figures from civil society, politics, academia and publishing.
Anadolu Kültür was established in 2002 as a non-profit cultural institution with the initiative of Osman Kavala, bringing together people from different fields of art, business and civil society. In the last 20 years, it has cooperated with 120 institutions from Turkey and abroad, provided 442 grants to independent artists and cultural institutions in order to expand the field of civil society, thus increasing and disseminating the unifying and transformative power of culture and art. Anadolu Kültür, which has opened up space for independent art works and has inaugurated Depo and Diyarbakır Cultural Center, which since continue their activities without interruption, has held more than 2,000 exhibitions, talks, concerts and film screenings in 104 different cities besides to these two centers. Anadolu Kültür has always been a pioneer in building cultural bridges between individuals and groups by means of educational workshops, podcast series, cultural publications and mobile applications.
