Connect For Impact: Bringing Together Civil Society, Municipalities and Culture&Arts Actors

As Anadolu Kültür, we have completed the project "Connect For Impact," which we carried out to bring together rights-based NGOs, culture and arts organizations, and local authority units in Eskişehir, Adana, Mersin, and Diyarbakır.

Implemented between 2024 and 2025, the project brought together three sectors around a common goal of change at a time when the space for combating discrimination is increasingly narrowing. You can review the project report and video in our publications, which include all the outputs, experiences, and achievements of our project that used artistic expression as a method of "creative intervention" against prominent forms of intersectional discrimination and rights violations at the local level.

In the report, you can find our activity details and evaluation notes covering:

  • The 7-month process spanning from field visits and capacity-building workshops conducted in four cities to the Harvest Meeting at the Nesin Mathematics Village;
  • The exhibition "Being Inside" in Adana, which supported the participation of young women in artistic production;
  • The open studio "A Bit Beyond" in Eskişehir, which fostered solidarity with independent young artists, and the video project aimed at giving a voice to women in disadvantaged neighborhoods;
  • The public exhibition "Scarecrows Dreaming of the Future" in Mersin, which brought the right to education for seasonal agricultural worker children to the agenda;
  • The "Well-being Network" and "Well-being Exchange Program" models in Diyarbakır, aimed at strengthening the well-being and institutional ties of rights defenders.

We would like to thank all our partners, artists, municipal employees, and civil society components who contributed to this project and multiplied the possibilities of a collective struggle against discrimination through creative interventions.
