YENİDEN II: Community-Based Resilience and Psychosocial Support Through Arts - Hatay & Adıyaman Project Has Started!
Project Duration: September 15, 2025 – June 15, 2026 (10 months)
Activity Period: October 2025 – May 2026 (8 months)
Activity Period: October 2025 – May 2026 (8 months)
Yeniden II is being implemented under the leadership of Anadolu Kültür, in partnership with Dayanışma İnsanları Derneği in Adıyaman and Deprem Dayanışması Derneği in Hatay.
As in the previous phase, the project aims to holistically empower local individuals who want to strengthen their knowledge and skills in rights-based approaches, child protection, youth work, and psychosocial support through arts, together with its local partners.
While there are still many barriers to access to rights for both adults and children and youth in earthquake-affected areas, the Yeniden II Project prioritizes community-based empowerment that supports rights-based practices by enhancing the capacities and capabilities of local institutions and individuals. It aims to progress within a holistic framework in two cities, across three tiers, and in three different fields.

PROJECT OFFERS THREE LAYERS SUPPORT SYSTEM
1- Organizational Capacity Building: Strengthening the capacities of our local project partners in both cities in rights-based and art-focused child and youth work, establishing and monitoring codes of conduct, strengthening active human resources by establishing and sustaining communities of practitioners, and supporting the existing human resources through the recruitment of a part-time staff member.
2- Community Building and Empowerment at the Local Level: Local project partners will establish a “community of practitioners” consisting of adults living in the city who were directly affected by the earthquake. With the guidance and contributions of experts and artists, these individuals will strengthen themselves and one another, conduct practices in small groups, and receive mentorship.
3- Supporting Children and Youth through Arts: In designated activity areas identified by the local project partners in project cities, rights-based and art-focused regular activities will be carried out with children and youth from different age and need groups. In this way, children and youth will gain increased access to creative methods of self-expression and “learning through art.”

PROJECT HOLDS a HOLISTIC FRAMEWORK in THREE AREAS
● TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS THAT DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
● FINANCIAL SUPPORT
● STAFF CARE AND WELL-BEING PROGRAMS
Being aware that we are working in two cities severely affected by the earthquake, and with individuals and communities who have experienced and are still experiencing its impact directly and in multiple dimensions, we provide support through trainings and workshops aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of local organizations and project participants.
In addition, our support includes the employment of a local coordinator for each local partner throughout the project, as well as partial financial support for each project participant and a well-being program.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES
As the first step of the program, project participants are invited to a four-day Ground Training in their own cities.
Participants who successfully complete this training will move on to the second step of the program: “Psychosocial Support Through Arts – Practitioner Trainings” which take place in three different art fields. These trainings, lasting five days in total—including two days of practitioner training and three days of pilot implementations—are delivered by artists and art educators who believe in the healing and empowering power of learning and expression through art, have experience conducting art-focused work during disaster and crisis periods, and are qualified to provide training of trainers in their fields. Participants are expected to fully attend at least one of these trainings.
Following the trainings, an implementation phase spanning four to five weeks takes place, during which “Art-Focused Activities with Children and Youth” are carried out. These activities involve children and youth of different age and need groups, taking place in locations designated by the local project partner in various parts of the city. During this active implementation period, participants also have opportunities to enhance their skills through online supervision and mentorship from experts.
Project participants who attend trainings and workshops in full and conduct a specified number of implementations will be eligible to receive a “Participant Certificate.”
