We Discussed Cultural Policy in Canakkale
As part of the “Invisible Cities: Building Capacities for Local Cultural Policy Development in Turkey” Project, we met in Canakkale AKOL Otel on June 11th and 12th. During the meeting, participants had the chance to hear progress of projects that have been implemented to date, including initiatives of the Canakkale 2010 project and to exchange ideas on local cultural policy. Besides the cultural actors, academicians and participants from NGOs from Antakya, Canakkale, Antakya, Kars, Mardin, Diyarbakır, Bursa and Izmir, there was participants from cultural institutions from Istanbul and the Netherlands. As a side activity of the Çanakkale meeting, in the evening of June 11th, there were street performances and workshops with the participation of Galata Ritimhanesi, Pozitofol, Karagoz Roman Orchestra, Fevzi Paşa Orchestra and Dance Group.
